Jan Ackermann has been a patent attorney since 2012 and a partner at COHAUSZ & FLORACK since 2017. The clients of COHAUSZ & FLORACK particularly benefit from his expertise in the fields of automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, engines and machines, machine elements and manufacturing technology. He acquired this expertise in particular through his mechanical engineering studies at the RWTH Aachen and through past positions at companies and law firms in Germany and abroad.

He has extensive experience in national and international, in particular US, patent law. He advises medium-sized companies and corporations in all areas of intellectual property rights.

Jan Ackermann has been admitted as a German patent attorney and as a representative before the European Patent Office since 2012. He holds a degree from the University of Strasbourg in European patent litigation ("D.U. Contentieux des Brevets en Europe").
