As a patent attorney, Svenja Schwandt advises German and international companies, primarily from the fields of physics, medical technology, metallurgy, and information and communication technology, in all areas of intellectual property. With her high level of legal expertise and technical know-how, she develops creative, goal-oriented ideas and supports her clients in expanding their IP portfolio and strengthening their market position. She attaches great importance to long-term collaborations with her clients based on mutual trust, and is an expert point of contact not only for patent issues but also for such matters as trademark and employee invention law.

After completing her studies, Svenja Schwandt trained as a patent attorney at COHAUSZ & FLORACK. In addition to her core specialties of physics, medical technology, metallurgy, and information and communication technology, she also advises clients from the fields of electromobility and mechanical engineering.

She has been a patent attorney with the firm since 2021 and reinforces the Physics team with her profound expertise.

While studying medical physics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, for which she received the “Deutschlandstipendium” scholarship, Svenja Schwandt gained theoretical and practical experience primarily in the fields of medical technology, imaging techniques, and radiotherapy. Alongside her studies, she worked at the Institute for Transplantation Diagnostics and Cell Therapeutics at the University Hospital in Düsseldorf. She is the author of several professional articles on the topic of stem cell therapy.
