Dr Johannes Baur is an Associate in Fieldfisher´s Hamburg office and advises on TV and Data Protection Law.

Data Protection Law issues have accompanied him since before he started working as a lawyer in legal research. From this time, he also has in-depth knowledge of distributed ledger technologies (including blockchain, smart contracts and digital automation). His advice focuses primarily on technology-driven companies.

Between his state exams, he worked as a research assistant in the civil law department at the Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law in Münster.

He advises our clients in German and English.

He studied at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and at the Università Roma Tre in Rome.

His doctoral thesis on Decentralized Automonous Organizations, published in 2021, also deals with this topic.
