Baker Botts L.L.P. has a full-service intellectual property litigation team with expertise litigating patent infringement disputes both at trial and appellate level for major tech clients such as Abbott, AT&T and Cisco. The IP litigation group is co-chaired by Douglas Kubehl in Dallas and Roger Fulghum in Houston as well as New York-based lawyer Jennifer Tempesta, who focuses on patent litigation in the district courts and at the International Trade Commission, and Dallas partner Christa Brown-Sanford, who focuses on licensing and patent prosecution in the energy and tech spaces. Robert Maier is knowledgeable in all types of IP litigation. The group also includes patent litigator Katharine Burke in Washington DC. Sarah Guske has left the firm.

- Represented Textron Innovations Inc. in a trial against SZ DJI Technology in which a jury awarded Textron $278.9m in damages, finding that DJI directly and indirectly infringed two patents.
