
Allen & Gledhill LLP has a large dedicated team for TMT matters, notably traditional IT procurement, outsourcing and substantial downstream M&A-driven IT contracting; amongst a number of headline engagements it advised on the transition and integration elements of the Chandra Asri and Glencore consortium’s acquisition of Shell’s integrated refining and chemicals assets on Pulau Bukom and Jurong Island, Singapore. The team continues to be active in data protection matters and has continued to see an uptick in artificial intelligence (AI)-related work, along with cloud and platform engagements. Tham Kok Leong is head of technology and is hugely experienced, while Tan Wee Meng is head of the telecoms group. Alexander Yap leads the fintech practice, often working closely with the firm’s substantial financial regulatory group. Eugene Ho is co-head of the cybersecurity and data protection team. Liew Wan Lin has impressed in a number of complex IT contracting matters.
