Mañón Quintana Abogados routinely defends financial institutions, listed companies and stock market clients involved in reorganisation or bankruptcy proceedings. A recent highlight saw the group represent Banjercito as a creditor in the insolvency of Banco Famsa. Founding partners Antonio Mañón and Gerardo Quintana Pineda, along with January 2024 arrival Ricardo García Cordero Sasía (previously at Márquez, Castelazo & García Cárdenas, S.C.), co-lead the practice. Mañón has significant experience representing clients in the automotive sector – as well as banks and other financial institutions – in arbitration and insolvency or commercial litigation, while Quintana Pineda and Cordero Sasía have additional expertise in insurance and reinsurance litigation. The practice was strengthened in June 2023 by the arrival of senior associate Ana Karen Nava González, previously at Cannizzo, Ortiz y Asociados SC.
