More recently, it has been able to leverage the expertise of colleagues in the US, particularly in energy transition and digital infrastructure, and apply this in Latin America projects. The team has worked on a series of battery storage and distributed generation projects, along with transmission projects, green hydrogen pilots, large-scale renewables projects and desalination infrastructure developments. It has also advised on LNG import terminals, gas-fired power plants and airports. The group typically advises an even split between lenders and sponsors. Gregory Tan is co-chair of the infrastructure and energy team, and maintains a strong focus on Latin America, including a number of recent projects in the Dominican Republic and Chile. Alexandro Padrés is another prominent name in Mexico and Latin America project financings, especially renewable energy, mining, digital infrastructure and desalination projects. Thomas Sines has emerged as an important member of the team, now leading many of its key matters. Associate Bruna Rey is also active in multiple Latin America projects.
