Technically, the group covers specialist areas such as information technology, life sciences and mechanical engineering, while its procedural spectrum includes infringement, nullity and opposition proceedings. The practice is led by an experienced team consisting of Bernd Allekotte (telecommunications and life sciences), Ulrich Blumenröder (including IT, mobile communications, electronics) and Sebastian Ochs (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering); the latter made equity partner in January 2024.

  • Representation of Hytera in various infringement proceedings against Motorola concerning radio communication solutions.
  • Representation of Rehau in an infringement case against Bulthaup, which began with a patent infringement claim, then, following a vindication procedure, matured into a legal dispute over the amount of damages and was ultimately completely dismissed in the first instance.
  • Representing Vestels in its defense against a series of lawsuits initiated by several SEP pool members of the Access Advance HEVC pools.
