ALTIUS‘s multi-disciplinary team assists non-profit organisations across a broad spectrum of legal issues, covering corporate, intellectual property and regulatory matters, as well as antitrust, employment and data protection law. Jérôme Vermeylen heads the practice and advises numerous clients in the sector on corporate matters such as their establishment, status and functioning. Carmen Verdonck represents national and international non-profit associations in all aspects of Belgian and EU competition law.

Highlight-Mandate

Advising Boerenbond in relation to proceedings initiated by several environmental organisations against the Flemish Government to obtain stricter limitations on the use of pesticides in agriculture.
Assisting US not-for-profit organisation Teach for All and its Belgian international not-for-profit association in relation to the setting up of its grant programme.
Advised the Association of European Coeliac Societies (AOECS) regarding various corporate and governance matters and IP matters related to AOECS’s ‘GLUTEN FREE’ figurative trade mark.
