León Cosgrove Jiménez, LLP is a dispute resolution heavyweight with strong links to Latin America. Much of its Latin America practice centres on capital flows into the US with the firm frequently representing Latin American and US-based financial institutions in major cases. It has an established record in fraud disputes and large bankcruptcy cases, including Chapter 15 proceedings. Much of the practice centres on cross-border disputes involving Venezuelan entities, along with several Central American jurisdictions and a number of other nations in South America. The team features a significant number of Latin American nationals, many of whom are admitted to practice in a Latin American jurisdiction. It is also home to a number of partners that previously practised at major international law firms. ‘An extraordinary litigator’, Diego Perez Ara is an emerging talent in international arbitration and cross-border commercial litigation, benefitting from his background as a civil law trained practitioner in Venezuela before relocating to the US.
