With ‘solid knowledge of labour law’, Garrigues Chile's five-strong department is notably experienced in collective bargaining processes. The group also assists with clients’ interactions with unions; anti-union and unfair practices; M&A-related labour due diligence; and labour litigation concerning dismissals, employee claims and C-Suite executive disputes. The practice is led by collective labour law specialist Bárbara Vera who was promoted to partner in early 2023. At associate level, principal Juan Ignacio Chamorro, senior Ricardo Eckardt and María José Cristi Larraín are all key team members.

- Assisted Guacolda Energía Chile (Guacolda) with a labour judicial claim filed against the Chilean Labour Board, in relation to the validity of an agreement executed between Guacolda and its union.
- Assisted Gtd Intesis, Gtd Manquehue, Compañía de Teléfonos, Telefónica del Sur and Compañía de Teléfonos de Coyhaique with their collective bargaining processes carried out during 2023 and 2024 (covering over 350 employees).
- Defending Ingeniería y Construcción Nahmías Hermanos in a labour lawsuit filed by a former employee, who worked on construction sites.
